In Shadows and Light.

My paradise is right by your side,

With you I broaden my stride.

Looking for your house I found my home

With you even a small town is as majestic as Rome.

Now that you I have found,

All difficulties have fallen like dust on the ground.

Now that you I have found,

I feel like a King who has just been crowned.

Looking for your laughter is my ambition,

It made happiness my unexpected nutrition.

Seeing you smile is my soul’s ignition,

Just being with you could make one a poet or a musician.

You could make all my plans come to fruition

Love is much more exquisite in your rendition.

With you, life is always in smooth transition

With you, sorrow is always a necessary omission.

Sitting on the roof on a starry night,

Reading our notes to each other from years past,

Reflecting on that time when we didn’t see each other for a fortnight,

Finally I had to hitchhike 700 kms to look into your sapphire blue eyes atlast.

For then I could wait no longer,

I needed to see you to feel stronger.

Or the time when we walked 15kms home just because we wanted to spend time together

Just because we wanted it to be our little forever.

Its like the moonlight has cast a spell on your face,

I think your blood cells have been replaced by fireflies.

For your skin is glowing like ember ,

You are that flame that can make my heart feel like summer even in December.

You are that fire in my soul that refuses to go out,

No matter what the odds, always ready for another bout.

So come and set me up in flames,

So come, lets play no more games.

With you by my side I am not scared of the fire,

Without my by my side the situation is far more dire.

With the blue light of the moon falling on you,

With your skin glowing with a reddish hue,

I get lost looking at your vast lips

I don’t even have time to notice the curves of your hips.

Your sapphire blue eyes mirroring the moon,

Just your existence in my life is making me swoon

A strand of hair is wrapped around your curving earlobe,

The cold has made the tip of your nose a beautiful strobe.

As I look at you smiling by my side and twitching your eyes a little whilst reading our notes

As I look at you I want to thank my stars,

So as I look at you I say to you, “Thank you”.

You are the most majestic sight I have seen,

No one can match your aura anywhere I have been.

So I wish this night never passes,

I want to stay in this moment with you till I am old and have glasses.

I could make this roof our paradise,

Without you my heart is a useless device.

For blood it may pump,

But without you it leaves my soul in a slump.

Seeing you is the good news I need,

It can make any day brighten up no matter how many tears I bleed.

So lets stay in this night for eternity,

You are the sole member of my fraternity.

I look at you and I think of wonderful things,

If only you had any idea of the joy your voice brings.

I want to stay with you in joy and in plight,

I want to stay with you in shadows and in light.

So come lets pillage each others soul

For finding pure bliss with you is the only goal.
